Zimmer began her acting pastime in the highschool years. In Pasadena she studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She won a Drama logue for her role in a stage show of Catholic School Girls. Her debut on screen role was in a TV series guest star. She had recurring parts in TV series, including Hyperion Bay. Additionally, to this, she appeared in independent films like Home Room. Her first leading part in Good Morning Miami. In Justice Boston Legal followed in the following season, as did House of Cards. She became known for portraying Dana Gordon in HBO's Entourage. In the TV series Un REAL, she won a Critics' Choice Television Award. She reprised her role as Gordon in the movie Entourage as well as starred in the two films Results as well as Run the Tide. She is set to be in the role of Veronica Cale in the upcoming Direct-to-Video animated superhero movie Wonder Woman: Bloodlines.
